As a coach I am focused on helping, supporting and guiding people to achieve a multitude of athletic, basic human movement and lifestyle-related goals where QUALITY of movement is always understood and done with intent.
This quality, focus and awareness is paramount and integral to my goal of building better humans.
Fitness and health is not all about bikini beach bodies or shedding fat. In fact it is far from it.
This expectation is a social one and is not as important as effective movement, nutritional behaviour, mental and physical strength and mobility. A persons stability physically and mentally is very important and if we have balance across the three fitness domains – physical activity, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, you will most likely find a happy, healthy and strong person.
The way we look in the mirror will naturally progress when we truly focus on what is important and as the saying goes your body is truly a reflection of your lifestyle.
One of my main elements of focus is to ensure that we train and move with intent and progression.
This starts with understanding the fundamental movement patterns associated with the biology of the human being.
Essentially we need to ensure the 7 primal movement patterns are invested in our movement programs.
I suggest a holistic approach and outlook that includes learning how to properly execute the seven primal movement patterns and incorporates the benefits of an ancestral-based organic nutrition plan that will maximise your physical and mental potential.
These are the fundamental movements that humans perform on a daily basis:
- Squatting
- Bending
- Lunging
- Pushing
- Pulling
- Twisting
- Gait
Real life movements which is anything from crawling, walking, jumping, lifting, climbing and running.
Seek to do these movements well and apply clear challenges and stimulus to the body with resistance.
Do this often and we have the best physical training program possible for the human body especially when coinciding with a nutrient dense daily eating routine, structured water, essential supplementation and a stable growth mindset.
Why the 7 Primal Movements?
These seven primal moment patterns can be clearly seen within every type of human movement.
It is how we were born to move.
How many of these movements do you use when you move house?
Are they hard work?
Do you consider that getting in and out of your car is a challenge?
How about lifting things off the floor like shopping bags, small children and heavy boxes?
The issue in society is we have forgotten how to move effectively due to our life becoming some what simplified.
We sit at a desks for ridiculous amounts of time and our overall work load and instincts for survival has reduced.
We are becoming technology zombies and it is taking years off our life span and destroying our way of life.
Be more mindful.
Most people do not perform these 7 movements – squat, lunge, push, pull, bend or twist – properly or efficiently through the intend lines of movement.
This is a major issue.
Some of us can’t even run to the bus stop.
This inefficiency in movement can lead to pain and injuries and a lower standard of life.
Have you ever hurt you back doing a simple movement or even picking up a relatively light load?
These inefficiencies and bad movement habits can lead to life long issues and overall physical deterioration as we age.
This is the reason why QUALITY over QUANTITY is of the utmost importance.
Maybe now you will go and seek more from your movement, mindset and health?
